Best Day

Got delayed a day before going to mcCall, but lets be honest, today was SO GOOD. especially tonight. I love all our boys. All the guys in out ward are just excellent. I don't even know what to say about tonight. I'm almost speechless. Christina and I went on one last frozen yogurt trip. So delicious. It is my favorite! I packed a teensy bit then we played sand volleyball which was quite the ball. and then we headed back to shelbourne. i was pretty much with those guys the whole day. At first it was just me and a few of them. We went to go get mexican food. Nothing like "forgetting" your wallet and having one of them gladly pay for you...haha :)

Later tonight is where it gets awesome. Well at one point we were watching Willy wanka, it was kinda just on in the background and we started to pay attention. It was right before the kid got the golden ticket. When he got it, we all started screaming and banging on pans and flipping over the couches for a good 2 minutes. We were making the not so exciting movie, a little more exciting. haha It was fun to just go crazy. I love those boys. oh, also at one point they put me in this big box and were flipping it and hitting it and just doing crazy stuff. It was fun, I felt like I was in 5th grade again haha. Oh and lets not forget the thursday night smack down that happened between me and my friend Keith. HE TOOK ME OUT. no matter what I did, i couldn't get him down. He pinned me every time. I tried my best though, he pinned me like 7 times....haha maybe slightly embarrassing but hey, I put up a good fight! i just wanted so badly to pin him!

Then it was all the good byes. :/ Most of the guys are staying so I'm so excited for next semester! But some girls are off track and there were some tears. HA my favorite at the end was when we started talking about age. Most..no all, of the guys I hang out with are like 26+. there are 2 that are 29, 3 or 4 that are 27, I guess a lot are 25 too, and some are younger but still, a lot of them are old! well we started talking about how when I was 14, barely a mia maid, he was 24, and had been home from his mission for 2 years. CRAZY HUH? now we're super good friends. I just find that so funny. They like to make fun of me for it. when I start to tell a story and Im like, one time when I was 12... and they're like "oh so not so long ago right?' haha they're great. I am going to miss Rexburg and all the people for the next 7 weeks.

Oh also, SAW TYREL FOR THE FIRST TIME. haha awkward. it was at shelbourne and we totally ignored each other. It was interesting haha

well. I'm going to miss all the adventures that we do down here.

but don't worry, Christina and I already have a long list for awesomeness this summer!!!

also, this is my 4th blog post this week. RECORD.

one day

until I'm done with my first year of college (more like 3 hours)
one day until I will be in McCall.
One day until all of this:

one more day until I'm at my favorite place, with my favorite people <3

IM SO EXCITED.

ps. this has been the best semester I could ask for, I don't know how any are going to compare to this one.
Spring semester was full of amazing adventures and amazing people.
I'm excited for McCall, if McCall werent happening for 2 weeks I think I would cry about going home.
I'm excited to see some of my best friends but I don't want this to end. So its a good thing I'm going to McCall or this would be a sob post about the semester being over and not wanting to go home at all. haha

Thrifting Jackpot

So this semester is basically over (minus 3 finals on wednesday that I have yet to start studying for...) and I will be on my way to McCall people. For 2 weeks of bliss. I was looking through my marvelous BYUI wardrobe and came to realize that I would be at the beach for 2 weeks with only one pair of shorts....I probably would have lived in that one pair the entire 2 weeks and I found that a little raunchy. So I decided to make a DI trip.

Can I just say that I love thrifting? Going through all these old jeans that are nasty and disgusting and then thinking, these are pretty ugly jeans, eh, maybe they'll look good cut into shorts! Put them on, they're 3 sizes too big because you want them to be all lossy goody and comfortable, and they happen to be Lucky Jeans so you think, ya, I would say that is worth $4.00. Then finding 2 other pairs that are high waters and go right past your calves but they make your bum look nice so you think, hey, these could be cut into shorts also! So then you're waiting in line to try on clothes and you're right next to the bathing suites so to pass time you are just shuffling through them and then you come across this adorable retro flowery swimsuit for 2 dollars. Worth trying on? I'd say yes. You end up walking away with 3 ugly pairs of jeans and an adorable retro swimsuit for about 15 bucks. Quite Brilliant.

Those 3 ugly pair of jeans? Now adorable cut offs for my two great weeks at the beach. And those Lucky's? Possibly my new favorite bottoms. Paired with that bathing suit? perfect.

Tears...or Sobs...

I've been putting off blogging about Harry Potter because I don't even know if I can put it into words.

We went 5 hours early, turned out they were calling it by theatre so we didn't get called until 11:50, but that made it nice because then we were only in the theatre for like 15 mins before it started!

We got SUCH good seats, we were sitting smack dab in the middle. It was superb. Plus it helps that when they called our theatre we did a mad dash that might have included plowing into some people. but hey, worth it right?

Well our theatre was awesome. At the beginning of Regal Cinemas shows you know how they have that roller coaster thing? ya our theatre simultaneously threw our hands up and road that thing. quite brilliant.

I absolutely loved it. It didn't really disappoint me! I mean of course some things were quite different from the book but its a movie about a book, thats gunna happen!

Well, you have read al the books right? If no, theres spoilers coming up....

K, so when Voldemort is with Snape at the end and decides he needs to kill him and then proceeds to do so is right when my own personal sob fest began. It wasn't just crying my friends. It was kind of an embarrassing experience. I started hyper ventilating and squeaking. I just really needed to be loud in my sobbery but being in a theatre, that wasn't quite permitted so I tried really hard not to explode. People were crying granted, but I sounded like I was dying. For almost 30 minutes, basically until the last 20 minutes when things started slowing down with the whole happy ending.

Then it ended and I was in complete aw and all I could think about was seeing it again.
I want to go tomorrow night. I hear its better the second time! I don't know if I can express my excitement for this or even how much I loved the movie. Imagine me, standing in front of you jumping up and down and squealing and all of a sudden light bursts from every part of me and I explode and then I come back together and I scream a little more. Maybe that would express my love for how awesome it was and how much I just love harry Potter.

HP

Tonight I will be seeing the midnight showing of the last Harry Potter. Why do I have to be so conflicted?
I'l be SO excited, and then I'll be all sad and depressed cause I don't want it to end! Its pathetic. Growing up whenever I read the books I was in a different world. Yes people, I was part of the wizarding world. It was my escape! So I'm so glad I still have the books that I can read over and over and over. Speaking of which, I really want to start reading them again...for the 5th time I think? How are they SO GOOD.

This day is going to go so very slow. I have my harry Potter glasses all ready and I'm pumped to have a night filled with my childhood.

This was for the sixth one :) haha

PEACE, LOVE AND HARRY POTTER

This is Sparta

This past weekend some guys from my ward, a couple girls, my brother, his roommate and myself all did the Super Spartan in Utah. SO COOL. SO HARD. KILLER. DEATH. PAIN. FUN. INCREDIBLY EPIC. and just plain legit. The first mile or 2 let me tell you, were deadly. We went straight up a mountain. Literally. it was the first half a mile and everyone started walking already. haha it was INSANE and so hard! We went up and then ran along the edge, then went straight down. It was such a relief! It was super steep so I was grabbing trees to help me not fall. It was so hot outside! About 85, and there were only 3 water stations, so that made it a little difficult, actually quite difficult. And I would say total that 5 miles of the whole thing was uphill. Broken up of course, but I was not prepared for that! It was deadly. I had to walk a lot. But all I can think about is doing my next one! My training starts tomorrow baby! We want to do the one in Malibu, Ca on November 12, I'm going to start saving up my plasma money now :)

Here were the obstacles:
(if they could not be completed, then 30 burpees were done, aka death)
1. jump over a wall, then run under a net thing
2. I'm going to count the 2 mile Mt. as one
3. Over a wall, under a wall, through a wall, then repeated again
4. Shooting a gun (I had to do the burpees)
5. Up a net rope thing
6. Over a 6 foot wall, then 8 ft wall, then 10 ft wall (Jake had to help me over the 8ft and then there was a little step for the ladies  on the 10 ft)
7. Balancing on boards turned on there sides (about 1 inch wide)
8. Short logs stuck in the ground , balance walk, got half way, then had to do burpees :/
9. Carry cinder blocks up a hill and back down
10. Climb a rope, I DID IT
11. Pull a tire up a bridge
12. Rubrics cube, had to complete the white side
13. Monkey bars (embarrassing, but I fell, burpees!!!
14. Javelin Throw, burpees were done...
15. Rope climb up a really soapy slope, does that make sense?
16. Barbed wire mud crawl
17. Mud walk through this muddy pit

All this throughout 8 miles in the Mountains.
I cannot wait to do one again. Its ridiculous.
Starting to train and do the Spartan Daily Workouts of the day.
they are intense, yep this is happening!!

So just this one tv show....

I think its called American Idol? ya thats it. Well I left Rexburg on Wednesday for Portland with my roomie tammy :) so glad she was also going to portland for the  long weekend. Made the 11 hour drive bareable! There was this absolutely beautiful sunset and since we were drive toward it, it lasted for like an hour. Quite convenient, me and Tammy were frequently snapping photos.
do you get what I mean? It was beautiful

So I dropped tammy off 30 mins before Portland and I got in around 12:30, was in bed by 1, set alarm for 3:45 and was in line for registration about 4:15. It was quite the experience. And once registration started (about 7:25) it went super fast. We were done and out of there by 7:45 I think. And on the road for Kirkland by 8:15. Quite awesome. Got to see my sisters, go visit Alicia and her kids. SO CUTE. they are so adorable. Today I get to see Kevin, Cameron and Rachel. I cannot wait to see them! :) though I wish Jannette were here too. It is quite sad.

Well I will be peacing out of here by 6:30 tonight for portland again. Auditions are tomorrow! :)
I'm really excited and not really expecting anything. Either way I'll be fine. I'm just excited for the experience.

Oh. and this weekend my awesome cousins (Sydney, McCall, Joslin, Lauren, Karli, Hannah, Jami and Kaitlin) at least I think all those people are going. But ANYWAY. they're going to Stadium of Fire, where Brad Paisley and David A. I mean COME ON, are performing. I was supposed to be joining those lovely ladies and it was going to be a weekend to remember thats for sure, but then american idol kind of came up...lol so I sold my ticket, to hannah actually!

So my vibes are with them this weekend, hoping they're having a blast! And I'm hoping to have a fun time at american Idol to make up for what I'm missing :) lol

anywho. this weekend consists of a LOT of driving. not even kidding.

p.s its been 80 in rexburg for like 2 weeks and next week is supposed to be 90's,
so a lot of bathing suits, sun, and water have been happening :)
